EntreComp Europe Data Protection Policy (Privacy Statement) is governed in Belgium, Italy and Spain by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) EU 2016/679, in Turkey and Moldova by their respective laws governing personal data protection under the supervision of the National Data Authorities mentioned in Annex 1.

Background information

EntreComp Europe Data Protection Policy (Privacy Statement) is governed in Belgium, Italy and Spain by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) EU 2016/679, in Turkey and Moldova by their respective laws governing personal data protection under the supervision of the National Data Authorities mentioned in Annex 1.

EntreComp Europe is a  project  co-funded by the European Union  and a consortium of 15 organisations established in Belgium, Italy, Spain, Moldova, and Turkey, within the EU Entrepreneurship Competence Framework.

EntreComp Europe Aims

at supporting actors from the whole learning system to enhance the development, validation and recognition competence of the entrepreneurship, across lifelong learning. This project will introduce key stakeholders to the EntreComp concept through national and regional Communities and will allow them to build common understanding through active networking and knowledge sharing.

EntreComp Europe activities:

will focus on

i) the establishment and activation of five collaborative communities in Belgium, Italy, The Republic of Moldova, Spain and Turkey

ii) strategy implementation and community expansion

iii) Youth workers and education: the development and implementation of learning opportunities based on the learning outcomes of EntreComp

iv) Employment and enterprises: the development and implementation of learning opportunities based on the learning outcomes of EntreComp

v) Testing new approaches to developing and assessing the entrepreneurship competence vi) communication and dissemination of the outcomes of the EntreComp Europe project

In this context EntreComp Europe will have to collect and process personal data of persons involved in these activities.

ENTRECOMP EUROPE DATA PROTECTION POLICY

EntreComp Europe Data Protection Policy (privacy policy) is governed in Belgium, Italy and Spain by the General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR) EU 2016/679, in Turkey and Moldova by their respective laws governing personal data protection under the supervision of the National Data Authorities mentioned in Annex 1.

Useful definitions:

Personal data: personal data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable living individual. Different pieces of information, which collected together can lead to the identification of a particular person, also constitute personal data.

GDPR protects personal data regardless of the technology used for processing said data.

Examples of personal data include, but are not limited to :

  • a name and surname
  • a home address
  • an email address such as name.surname@company.com
  • an identification card number
  • location data (for example the location data function on a mobile phone)
  • an Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • a cookie

Processing: Processing covers a wide range of operations performed on personal data, including by manual or automated means. It includes the collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction of personal data.

Examples of processing include :

  • staff management and payroll administration
  • access to or consultation of a contacts database containing personal data
  • sending promotional emails
  • shredding documents containing personal data
  • posting or publishing a photo of a person on a website
  • storing IP addresses or MAC addresses
  • video recording (CCTV)

Cookies: Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behaviour information when an individual visits a website.

Individuals’ approval for the collection and processing of personal data will be required for:

  • the management and implementation of EntreComp Europe Project
  • the participation of members of the EntreComp Europe Collaborative Communities,
  • visiting the EntreComp Europe website, downloading documents from said website
  • subscribing to newsletters, publications or any other documents
  • registering for and participating in Open Space sessions, workshops, seminars, conferences, training courses, and so on whether online or physical meetings

Individuals’ rights with regard to their personal data are the following:

  • Right to access and request a copy of their personal data
  • Right to rectification and request to correct any information
  • Right to erasure and request the deletion of data
  • Right to object to processing data
  • Right to data portability, that is, to request the transfer of your data to another organisation
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (see Annex 1)

How EntreComp Europe will use cookies?

EntreComp Europe will use cookies to collect information from the individual to keep them signed into the site, remember their site preferences, and understand how they use the website.

What kind of cookies does EntreComp Europe use?

The EntreComp Europe website uses functionality cookies: to recognise the individual and remember their previously selected preferences. This could include what language they prefer to browse in, and their location.

How to manage cookies?

Commitment of the Members of the Consortium :

The members of the consortium undertake that :

  • personal data will be collected and processed in a lawful and transparent manner, (‘lawfulness, fairness and transparency’)
  • the collection and processing of personal data is needed in view of the specific purposes of the project (purpose limitation)
  • only the personal data that is necessary to fulfil such purpose will be collected and processed (‘data minimisation’)
  • they will install appropriate technical and organisational safeguards that ensure the security of personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technology (‘integrity and confidentiality’)
